Mgahinga Gorilla National Park is Uganda’s second national park which offers unique gorilla tracking experience to the visitors. Its scenery appealing covered with lush vegetation and bamboo.
Mgahinga Gorilla National Park is the only national park in Uganda where golden monkey can be tracked in the wild. It is known for its signature “Where Silver Meets Gold” meaning that it is the only park in Uganda in which you can see the Silverback gorilla and the Golden Monkey. Its unique vegetation provides enough food for these gorgeous and jolly primates, the golden monkeys.
Hiking and mountain climbing is another activity offered by Uganda’s smallest national park. The activity is not as challenging as compared to climbing other mountains of Uganda because it could take you only 8 hours to climb and return from the peak of Mount Muhabura to a gentle stroll across the lower slopes beneath the stunning backdrop.
Cultural visits to the Batwa (Pygmies) community and the Garama Cave give an epic experience. It blends entertainment and learning while listening to the music and watching the happy dances of the entertainers at the end of the Batwa Trail.
