Wildlife viewing / Game Viewing: Murchison Falls National Park is home to copious wildlife species, beautifully spread all over the grasslands while the park offers a perfect landscape for viewing the game.
The park is divided into the Northern and the Southern banks by River Nile. The Northern bank is the most preferred one for game drives because it has very many animals. Animals here include buffaloes, lions, chimpanzees, leopards which may be spotted at dusk, hippos, giraffes, hartebeest, to name but a few and about 350 bird species.
Boat trip from the docking area up to the bottom of the might Murchison Falls offers a great platform to view and to photograph wild animals grazing on the banks of the river or watering. During the trip visitors see lots of crocodiles, hippos, elephants and buffaloes among others including several bird species.
For birding enthusiasts, the Delta boat trip is a fantastic platform to see several water birds such as the elusive shoebill stork.
Budongo Forest offers outstanding chimpanzee tracking experiences to the trekkers all year around.
Sport fishing: Murchison Falls National Park offers enjoyable sport fishing opportunities along the Nile River, either at the bottom of the falls or on the river banks. These two fishing spots can be accessed either by boat or by taking a 45-minute walk down from the top of the falls to the gorge.
