Lake Mburo National Park is the only park in Uganda where you can see the Eland antelope, and the second where you can see zebras in large numbers. Other animals in this national park include giraffes, impala, hippos, buffaloes, and crocodiles in Lake Mburo, Sitatunga antelope which hides in the secretive papyrus, among others.

The fringing swamps in Lake Mburo National Park also hide secretive papyrus specialists which include the red, black and yellow Papyrus Gonolek.
